Time to get serious

It is time to get into some serious renovating and although I intend to do most of this project myself there are times when it is worthwhile bringing in a pro. Enter Adam, from Historical Building Renovations, I met him whilst selling my old car. A fortuitous meeting as he is a builder that specialises in old buildings. He doesn't mind traveling long distances to tackle projects (although he is based in Bundeena, he was quite willing to come all the way to Katoomba, about 160km, because he loves all the old houses in the area.)

I have engaged Adam to kick start the renos by stripping the old bathroom back to the frame and rebuilding it. The good thing about a builder like this is he will take on all or just part of a job, allowing me to do some of the work and save some cash. Adam has an asbestos removal licence and plenty of experience getting bathrooms right, particularly waterproofing. This is one of the most expensive rooms in the house to renovate so you want to get it right.
